Profile

Following her LLB Hons awarded by Staffordshire University in 2016, Nadhwa has been active in litigation and practice as an attorney for over 4 years. She has experience in civil, corporate, employment and family matters.

With experience in diverse work environments from the government and the private sector to non-governmental organizations, she also actively contributes in social justice advocacy, surveying, data collection and reporting on gender disparities and social injustice in the Maldives. Nadhwa is passionate about human rights law and is currently pursuing her Masters in human rights law at the University of Melbourne, where she served as a policy and justice committee advisory member for the Melbourne Law Masters Student Association in 2020.

Apart from working on public interest pro bono cases, she has volunteered in various youth and social causes including her term at JCI (Junior Chamber International) Maldives as the General Legal Counsel. She is currently working with The Eco Org, an NGO focused on sustainable innovations.
